We R Movers – Terms and Conditions


1. Introduction


These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all services provided by We R Movers, located in Hastings, East Sussex (“the Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”).

By booking our services, you (“the Customer”, “you”, or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms.


2. Services Provided


We R Movers offers the following services:

  • Residential removals

  • Commercial removals

  • Emergency removals

  • Secure storage solutions

 

Each service is subject to these Terms and any additional conditions stated in your booking confirmation.

3. Booking and Deposits

  • A 50% deposit is required to secure any booking.

  • Bookings are not confirmed until the deposit has been received.

  • The remaining 50% balance must be paid no later than the day of the move before unloading begins.

  • Payments can be made via bank transfer, debit/credit card, or cash.
     

4. Cancellations and Refunds
 

  • If you cancel more than 7 days before your scheduled move date, your deposit will be refunded in full.

  • If you cancel within 7 days, 50% of your deposit will be retained.

  • If you cancel within 48 hours of your scheduled move, your full deposit will be retained.

  • We R Movers reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any booking due to unforeseen circumstances such as vehicle breakdowns, staff illness, or extreme weather.         In such cases, we will offer an alternative date or a full refund.

 

5. Access and Parking
 

  • The Customer must ensure that there is adequate access and parking for our vehicles at both the collection and delivery addresses.

  • Any parking fees or fines incurred due to restricted access will be the Customer’s responsibility.
     

6. Customer Responsibilities
 

  • All items must be properly packed and ready for removal unless you have arranged for our packing service.

  • Fragile or high-value items must be clearly labelled and declared prior to the move.

  • The Customer must ensure that all items to be moved are legal and safe to transport.

  • It is your responsibility to check that no items have been left behind once the move is complete.
     

7. Liability and Insurance
 

  • We R Movers will handle your belongings with the utmost care.

  • We are insured for loss or damage caused by our negligence, up to a reasonable limit per item or load (details available upon request).

  • We are not liable for:

    • Items packed by the Customer.

    • Pre-existing damage or wear and tear.

    • Electrical or mechanical faults not caused by our actions.

    • Loss or damage due to fire, flood, or other events beyond our control.
       

8. Storage Terms
 

  • Storage fees are charged weekly or monthly as agreed in writing.

  • Payment must be made in advance.

  • We R Movers reserves the right to deny access to stored goods if payments are overdue.

  • If payments are more than 8 weeks overdue, we may dispose of or sell stored items to recover outstanding fees.

 

9. Delays


We R Movers will not be held responsible for delays caused by traffic, road closures, weather, or circumstances beyond our control. We will, however, make reasonable efforts to complete your move as efficiently as possible.


10. Complaints


If you have any complaints about our service, please contact us in writing within 7 days of your move. We aim to respond and resolve complaints within 14 days.


11. Governing Law


These Terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
